Dear UCI Students,

UCI is implementing an emergency text messaging system "zotALERT" and we need your help to make this an effective tool. Your job is simple; just provide us with your cell phone number.

Please update your contact information by going to StudentAccess at http://www.reg.uci.edu/studentaccess and click on "Change of Address." You will also want to be sure that we have your emergency contact information. zotALERT will only be used to provide information in the event of emergencies such as natural disasters, crisis responses, or campus closures.

It is also a good time to discuss and develop a personal communications plan with your family in the event of an emergency. Visit the UCI Environmental Health and Safety website to learn about campus emergency planning and to find resources for students http://www.ehs.uci.edu/students.html
